The group of about sixty people, composed of researchers and participants, visited Kouchibouguac Park, the Bouctouche dune, the school and a farm in Cocagne. The goal was to explore the nature and cultural heritage of New Brunswick and learn at the same time about resource development challenges in the province.

In Cocagne, Grade 5 students have prepared a beautiful program including a tour of student posters, a guided walk and a snack prepared by the pupils. See the school news here.In the evening, participants visited the Marcel Goguen Farm, and enjoyed a local dinner with traditional Acadian melodies played by a violinist and a pianist. Finally, people enjoyed themselves by participating in a friendly competition of questions and challenges around the natural and cultural heritage of New Brunswick.

The ECHO Network is a 5-year research program, funded by a Canadian Institutes of Health Research Team Grant, focused on working together across sectors to take notice of- and respond to- the influence of resource development on health and well-being, with specific emphasis on rural, remote and Indigenous communities and environments.
